The silent place in Lamma Island

The first time I go to Lamma from Abardeen. To avoid 30 mins walk but 5 mins walk to my friend's home. The people who love natural and more silent living style, they may like Lamma.

"Pak Kok" means Northern side of Lamma is quite cutie that not easy to access. So avoiding too much tourists to go there, it is much more private and comfortable. My friend who live there has a community who loves mountain hiking and biking, they always join together and have gathering on Sunday. It is really a wonderful & relaxing place in Hong Kong.

Mandarin & Luck

The pronunciation of "Mandarin" fruit in Cantonese is the same as "Luck", so the Congee & Noodle restaurant put the "Luck" on the cashier, mean good luck to earn money.

I ate the fish congee in Causeway Bay which is an old shop, so delicious! But I didn't take the sticky rice which is wrapped by leave of Lotus which has porks, mushroom, dried shrimp inside.

Muji ceramics

No wonder Japan still keeping the leadership of Asian Countries. People know how to appreciate on their own culture.

Muji always tell the simplicity, this is the link shows that they bring customer different ceramics from different proveniences which brings own characteristics.

Interesting weekend to explore another angle of HK. Walking from Kowloon Tong to Shek Kip Mei, most of the buildings are not too tall with sunny day & warm weather.

Seeds from different kind of Melons is one of the favorite snacks for CNY.

CNY x Australian food

Visited once Italian restaurant and once Australian restaurant during the CNY. I like this decoration a lot.

Band show in HK

My friend who studied Music in Lugano has band show, this is the first time I go to visit her. There are 3 bands performing, one is an Australian group.

Old lovers meeting

Today is old lovers meeting, that 4 of us come out for lunch. As one of them has married to Japan and this kind of gathering was happening almost 17 years ago :) That we traveled aboard for 2 weeks at our student life.

It is interesting that the ways we express ourselves, the points we will make others to feel angry and stress is almost the same.

I am so treasure, if the friendship can continue. In my heart, the period of growing is so memorable. It is nearly the core period of our life, so innocent, so direct & so true.

Red pockets

In Hong Kong, the married people will give red pockets (money) to others in Chinese new year. And heard that in Taiwan, people who start to work, they will give red pockets to others. And in Mainland China, I do not know what is their habits.

7 degree in CNY

It is so cold. People don't understand that in Southern China, we do not have build in heater at home. So normally we just put on a lot of clothes even at home.

Now outside is 7 degree but in my home, it is 10 degree. So cold.

Dong Dong in red color

Red means luck to Chinese, so in Chinese New Year, parent may push their children to wear in red color.

This year, my mom bought a doggie toy, representing dong dong always be with her. And she put a handkerchief to the doggie toy. It is quite fashionable.

Chinese New Year - Cao 1

Today is the 1st day of Chinese New Year. Chinese People in Hong Kong, we use to prepare a "sweet box" so that the relatives come, they chat and eat some sweets.

This year, I told my mom that do not put too much candies or chocolates into it, try to replace some nuts or dry fruits to be more healthy.

"Round" shape is so significant to Chinese. Round means never ending & forever. So the sweet box, the table are in round shape. And Cantonese people eat "湯圓", one kind of dessert "Glutinous rice balls" which are in round shape with sesame, peanut or red bean inside. We always eat them in special days, means we can meet each others next time.

Thanks Soph for chatting 1 hour and 29 minutes. And I know I have talked for 1 hour and 20 minutes... or may be more.

And we have been organised for 3 times to chat but at last we could not.

OK, I promise to take more "food shots" for Chinese new year! But my family is not really following the traditional HK's or Cantonese type, but I will try to shoot more to let you know how Hong Kong people celebrate CNY!

Ceci & Mike

Ceci & Mike taken wedding photos in Cloud 9. For making them the tailor made story line. And after that they also ask us to take pregnant photos. And now Ethan is almost 2 years old with very good expression.

They moved to Shanghai for 4 years and now will stay in Taiwan for coming year. Time really flies and She told me there are 3 years, she didn't sing Karaoke and we did it today. Happy birthday.

feel so good

Feel so good after yoga class tonight. And I found a magazine written in Chinese to describe well about Service design and Strategic & Branding articles. And there are some examples with illustrated design tools. That is so good that it shall helps to finish the final thesis.

JCCAC

Recently I just in love with this place, JACCA. A place which re-design from an old industrial building for artists, designers, dancers, potters, musicians.

It is just occasionally I come again and this time, I really like the place. I found a dancing room that provide yoga lesson, so I joined it. Here is less commercial atmosphere. And I found a ceramic workshop too, just need to organized my time to join more activities here.

Here is one of the small exhibition of architecture. Very nice and I love the steps to show the idea generation.
